A Case Study of Young Onset Dementia - Not Everyone Avoids Catastrophe

This presentation will be a case study of dementia patients of particular interest because they offer insight into opportunities for better care and treatment of all older adults experiencing dementia. Patty will introduce innovative treatments that have improved the live of those living with dementia and what the Alzheimer’s Association in Orange County has observed when spreading more of these to new communities serving older adults with dementia. Additionally, dealing with COVID is particularly challenging for Dementia patients because they may not be able to understand why their family no longer visits or why they need to wear a mask, so Patty will cover new challenges and potential solutions that have worked in the short time that COVID has severely affected residents with Dementia.
